RIP John Lennon. The list of sudden and unexpected celebrity deaths is long—Princess Di, Heath Ledger, Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Monroe, and many more. Which one affected you the most on an emotional level?
Of the ones listed, Kurt Cobain I would say affected me the most. I was in my early 20's, going to University, and in a horrible relationship (which turned into a horrible marriage). I could completely relate to where he was coming from, singing out his pain with no shield to protect him. Thin-skinned as me.
Unlisted, I would say Ernie Coombs. I know you're saying WTH is that. If you're Canadian, and you were a kid in the late 60's through early 90's, you knew who Mr. Dressup was. He was such a gentle, kind soul, and every day with him was a delight.
Roz has two Homer Simpson figurines and is calling them her 'Homies'.
